About the catch reports

Catch information is compiled from publicly available sources — ADCNR/Outdoor Alabama species and reef listings, state park and city park descriptions, public pier and marina reports, tournament results and angler forum reports. Fishing changes with season, tide and weather, so treat every pin as a starting point, not a guarantee.

Access & etiquette

Red pins are private or members-only water: never fish them without permission. Amber pins charge a fee or require a permit. An Alabama freshwater or saltwater license is required for most anglers 16 and older, and pier, reef and snapper rules change season to season — confirm with Outdoor Alabama before you keep a fish.
